I am using python 3.11.2 currently on a Pi Zero W, currently running Bookworm (release 12)
I have not thought of taking any courses on python. Usually a low priority item on my list. As for globals...I get errors when I don't use globals. Of course, If I were to learn how to code better...I'd understand better means to avoid them. This anemometer is an encoder currently. I tried the Hall Sensor switch in previous attempts as well as reed switches. Was not getting the accuracy I wanted. I am looking for 2 decimal places in accuracy. In previous attempts, I also tried a bladed anemometer too. This one is cups on the horizontal plane. I've designed and 3d printed covers for both encoders that allow for free spin but are still close enough to discourage any moisture from getting up inside the encoder.
