Am I doomed to own a Dremel monstrosity due to the lack of any skills with it, or are there cases that could accommodate a Pi 5, ethernet expansion board, and a UPS board?
Cases for specific configurations can be hard to find so DIY hacking, sawing and filling, is often the solution if you don't own a 3D printer.

It doesn't have to end badly if you practice on some old bits of plastic first and take time doing it. Even if it does, so long as the mess is at the back, you and no one else will likely never notice.

I tend to use cheap second-hand or broken DVD players and STB's to fit my Pi constructions in. As long as they have a plastic back panel they are easy to modify. Sometimes I cut the back panel out completely so everything is just exposed through 'a big hole'. I can glue a fascia with nicely cut holes to the back if I ever get round to it

Think positively, don't fear the dremel, and it will probably work out fine. You'll find it easier the more you do and can always rehouse the Mk I later.
