80% of problems with "stability" of any kind of raspberry install here boil down to: Problem with power supply. I use normally the original Raspberry supply, which might result in problems, too, depending on peripherals adjusted (watch dmesg or journalctl -r).
Even with ITX or even larger power supplies sometime the voltage is not stable enough to satisfy the raspi needs.
