The Raspberry Pi GPU can handle 1080p video, but 60 FPS at this resolution may push its limits. While official documentation often references 1080p30 playback, achieving 60 FPS depends on several factors.Hallo
Searched and found nothing.
I have to play video (no audio) with 60fps in 1080p60 with a raspi.
I'm not sure, if the GPU of the Raspi can manage it, I've read about 1080p30 in the documentation.
Is this the fact?
Thank you in advance

First, ensure your video file is properly encoded (H.264 works best). Use optimized players like Kodi or VLC, as they better utilize the Pi's hardware acceleration. Avoid software decoding, which strains the CPU.
If hello_video is struggling, check for dropped frames using debugging tools. Adjust the player's buffer settings or reduce background tasks to free up GPU resources. Testing with a lower-bitrate 1080p60 sample file can help isolate performance issues.
For reliable 60 FPS playback, consider lowering the resolution slightly or verifying your Pi's cooling and power supply. Thermal throttling can impact performance.
