SDK • help with buld.ninja

I am trying to compile this project. https://github.com/wasdwasd0105/PicoW-usb2bt-audio-pro. I am working with VS Code and the Pico extension. I understand C but just starting to learn about CMakeFile and ninja. When I compile this code I get

ninja: Entering directory `/Users/pete/Projects/PicoW-usb2bt-audio-pro/build'
ninja: error: loading 'build.ninja': No such file or directory

I am running on a Mac. I have run the blink samples and they work. How do I import this project. Thanks
