I guess you didn't search first?I've got a dongle similar to this one knocking about .
I need to move a raspberry pi to the bottom of the garden away from RF interference but still want to access it via ssh, thinking a cantenna would work well however I don't want to butcher the dongle and I have a shortage of SMA connectors for the usual wire halfway through a tin can approach. I need the few I have for other things .
Would it be feasible to cut a can in half, lengthways so it is half a cylinder but keep the lid or bottom intact, drill a hole in the centre and have the antenna mounted through this hole so that the can acts as a type of parabolic dish, reflecting the signals directly at the antenna?
