I will, as soon as I catch time, reply to your post in its entirety - but in the meantime I would like to make clear the following:

I did NOT post the initial message to Raspberry Pi OS subforum!

As can be seen in the screenshot that I attached, I posted my initial message to General subforum.

Several minutes after posting the very first message I noticed the topic disappeared from the list under General but I had it opened in another tab and made a screenshot. Then I noticed the link to the post is still working and the post location changed from General to Rasbperry Pi OS.

In other words, the forum administrator decided to move the post from General to Raspberry Pi OS subforum.

I never said that you chose to post in this sub forum. Or that you posted in the wrong place.

The point I was trying to make was that regardless of which sub forum the post is in (and, for my money, this is the right one), beginners and the less knowledgeable will find it or be referred to it and then follow it verbatim. This can lead to non working configurations (using a 192.168.xxx.yyy/24 address when their network uses 10.0.0.0/24, using 192.168.xxx.1 for the gateway when it's actually on .254, same applies for the nameservers, etc) which will lead to frustration for the user, further questions on here, and negative feedback for you.

BTW, your emphasis and image were unnecessary and uncalled for. I had no way of knowing where you originally posted.

That you missed my point was either due to me being unclear or the differences in our native languages.
