When you install VOLUMIO you are doing a fresh install of a new OS with no relation to previous OS installs.
Are you trying to Putty into VOLUMIO and if so why? It is SSH enabled but I can't remember the credentials. They are posted in the COMMUNITY.

I have VOLUMIO installed on an old RPI 3B+ and do all my configuration work through their GUI. I've only had one need to SSH into it but can't remember for what.
