Keyboard computers (400, 500, 500+) • Re: Advice needed by Pi 500 newbie on best options for memory and performance improvements

I use 256 GB Cards - Samsung EVO plus - because that's what my local supermarket were selling cheaply and I like to have a lot of room for the multi-gigabyte things I accumulate but also because I use it as backup for my PC and MP3 collection. It made my Pi 4B more zippy than it had been, passes the disk performance tests.

I am not convinced 32 GB is too small. I would suggest not worrying about it, see how things goes, keep an eye on how much free space is disappearing and how quickly.

I am currently using 120 GB and I am sure that's more than most people will use -

36 GB of Pico stuff including 10 GB of Zephyr
23 GB of various compilers
15 GB of Pi OS images
13 GB of MagPi and datasheet PDF
12 GB of backups and MP3

That's just 21 GB for everything else.
