Thanks, but I mentioned in my original post that I've tried both "ticked" and "unticked" on the "exclude network drives" and it has made no difference.
The card is a Kingston 32 GB MicroSD HC I, but whether it is inserted or not, the invisible SSD symptom is unchanged.
