Ok here's the update to my problem.
I followed the info. kindly provided by kerry_s to setup and replaced Gnome with Cinnamon, but it didn't boot up properly beside a flashing cursor. So that I used the stock Armbian image with Cinnamon and it booted up normally but with lot of problem. First Cinnamon crashed on fresh boot said something wrong with the applet which I have not added any, I got similar problem on Mint Debian, so that Cinnamon itself is flawed, but I do not have other problem on Mint on x86 like Armbian on the Pi, for example Firefox keeps complaining configuration problem on first time use. So that I removed and reinstall FF but still the same problem. I found on Synaptic which came with Armbian that there's only one Firefox which is the ESR version that caused the problem, then I gave up on Cinnamon and turned to Gnome and found both the regular FF and the ESR one. And Chromium which preinstalled on the image does not work at all.
I then setup ibus input, it was little tricky on Gnome, beside the normal way to add input methods to ibus I still need to add again to the keyboard input source, otherwise they won't show up, after those little trouble everything worked. I did not pick Gnome in the first place bcoz it was little 'too fancy' to me, I am more used to the old school pull down menu type, and I've no problem with Mate that I used on GhostBSD.
