General discussion • Tvheadend on Pi

I have a RPi 3 B+ running Tvheadend as a media server. I have a DTT HAT for terrestrial TV and a Sat IP (Telestar Digibit Twin) for satelllite channels. The Sat IP is connected via gigabit wired LAN. I use Kodi on LibreELEC as the client.
Problem is, I get breakup on high bandwidth (up to10Mbit/s) HD channels from the Sat IP. Only one channel running. I never get breakup on DTT but generally it uses lower bandwidth.
My satellite installation is good, I know that.
When I run DVBViewer directly with the Sat IP all good too. Shows that the Sat IP can deliver the bandwidth.
I can run Kodi on high end PC and still get breakup.
So that points to the Pi. But the Pi does not show itself to be struggling. No errors in syslog and not maxing on CPU or network or RAM. I checked the network and the Pi can deliver 300 Mbit/s using iperf tester.

I'm thinking of buying a Rpi 5 with maybe 8GB RAM.
Question is, should the RPi 3 be able to handle this and will a new RPi 5 solve the problem?
I've posted this on the Tvheadend forum and being told that the RPi is not up to delivering as a media server, buy an N100 Mini PC!
But I have experience with the Pi and if RPi 5 will do it I'll buy one.
All suggestions greatly appreciated.
