Yes that was wrong. I have corrected my post and my erroneous notes I referred to. I think that came about because 'df -T' reports the BOOTSEL disk as "vfat", same as the Pi Boot Partition which is FAT32. There is of course more to it than that.@hippy, I am a bit confused about your saying that it's FAT32.
It is indeed FAT16 for both RP2040 and RP235X -
