If you are using one hdmi display, then it's best to connect it to hdmi0 (connector closest to power input).vc4hdmi0 didn't produce audio, but vc4hdmi1 did, which I suppose makes sense considering the hdmi cable is plugged in to that port.
Any advice you get will be assuming that, and some apps may only handle that (e.g. cec control from kodi).
The fact that produces audio sugests alsa is working, and your issue is with choosing the correct alsa device with steamlink.
That's not something I use, but if there are no obvious gui or command line options, I'd suggest asking in the steamlink forum.
