I haven't asked anyone to support hardware they didn't create.third party HW is to be supported by third party. as simple as that. you can't ask Apple to support your chrome book, can't you?So basically is my issue that this is not officially Rasp Pi add on hardware, but a third party? Hence their support may drop after a time?
What I'm asking is, is the issue that as it's third party, the reason why I'm having the issues I'm having.
I'm not an expert, as people may be able to tell. I've done very little with the Pi, had a play with them in the past, set one up as a Unifi Controller and that was about it. Now my kids are getting older I want to do something hands on technical with them and I thought it would be useful for me too. I can write a program for an Allen Bradley PLC and get it loaded, so I thought it's about time I tried to do the same with the PiFace stuff I bought about a decade ago!
