Does it work in any other Debian based distribution that does not run on a Pi.
If you run Debian on your laptop, does It work?
If no, then it is not a oi problem.
If it does, it might be related to the pi, either the browser or in the os itself. Related as in: it's not a problem, but a feature not available in the specific platform you're running.
