Poking around the forum, I found answers to my questions:

Using "The XP Power VEC65US19 power supply is recommended for use with DigiAMP+."
(powering the Raspberry Pi via the DigiAmp+ & the recommended 19V 3.4A power supply;
65W - 5.5mm x 2.5mm x 12mm Barrel connector)

(I also have the recommended power supply coming.)

So, the specs for the speakers:
4 ohms - 36W
8 ohms - 21W

If using a 24V PS one would have to use 8 ohm speakers only.
