I'm feeding an "off pcb" 3.3V directly into 3.3Vout pin (pin 36) with 3.3Venable (pin 37) to gnd.
are you putting your scope probe on 3.3Vout (pin 36)??
can you tell me your setup and I'll try to mimic it, are you using the example blink program with onboard LED??
your 22.5mA looks closer to the datasheet than my 50mA.

16bit at 71MHz, or 8 bit at 142MHz, actually the peripheral can do
