Troubleshooting • Re: Resetting Password on Raspberry Pi 5 - please help

Firstly, it's either a Pi5 or a CM5 (with case and enclosure). It cannot be both.

That said, the steps at the OS level are the same:

1. Get a root shell

2. Code:

   passwd <username>

   Replace <username> with the actual username.
3. Follow the prompts.

There are multiple ways to achieve step 1. Any web search engine should be able to detail them. I'm not going to do so here due to the potential for abuse. Others might.
