I bought the screen https://www.waveshare.com/3.5inch-rpi-lcd-f.htm
Using a Raspberry Pi 4 B on the latest Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit, tried both Lite and Full versions.
Connected via the gpio pins ("pigo" or something), by putting the screen on top and applying the screws.

config.txt: https://pastebin.com/RXZA88WD
I did not change anything besides the [all] category. I've tried following both https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... 2#p2310255 and https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... 1#p2312857.
With the first thread and the config.txt i sent, it is detected inside the Screen Configuration and I see that the backlight is on, but nothing is displayed on the screen itself. https://imgur.com/a/ax4TlFq https://imgur.com/a/5JQokHA
I sometimes see a flash of random colors on the screen for less than a second, suggesting that the framebuffer is filled with garbage. Then the display returns to being black.
Following the second thread does not result in a working screen at all.
I can get the screen to display images when I use waveshare's python example if I do NOT install any drivers: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/3.5inch_ ... nvironment
Touch detection does not work with this. The backlight is also off if the python example is not running. It is likely interacting with the screen at a much lower level, where the OS has no influence besides providing the raw hardware interface.
Installing the official drivers or following any of the above threads breaks this python demo.
