Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • arduino kills rasbperry usb ports

Hello everyone
I have a problem with the USB ports in raspberry 5. I use them to power arduino nano and to communicate with it. Raspberry sends one variable via 'serial' and this happens relatively rarely. Currently, after several months of use, 3 ports have been killed and communication only works in one, in the others there is only power. Also, for example, in these ports a wired mouse lights up but a cursor does not work. This is also probably proof that the ports in my previous raspberry 3b+ were not killed by accident.

In the common ground of the entire device there is also an LED driver with a voltage of +100V and a sensor for 24V. Are the problems caused by the lack of optoisolators in my board or is it just not recommended that the raspberry-arduino communication take place directly via the USB cable alone?
