I think what we do know is if RPL did a RISC-V Pi N then it would need a totally new PiOS and all the major apps. And obviously backwards compatibility goes out the window.There are not any RISC-V based SoCs that provide the performance and feature set we need for the SBC. Although who knows what will happen in the future.Having read that the Orange Pi has a new affordable RISC-V SBC, does RPi have any intentions in this direction, or will all RPi remain with ARM processors?
Please understand, I am not asking 'when' but 'if'....
A huge task for maybe a couple of cents gain on the ARM licence fee ?
