Hello all
I trust there are a few teachers in here? I just want to inform you that I have a new edition of my book coming out in a few months ready for the new education year. the 1st edition is still a good book, but focused on the Raspberry Pi3b and as such got a bit outdated when the Pi4 came out. the concepts are still valid but the code won't run on later models![Sad :(]()
However, I've updated the book, and also have brought some of the Pi3 demo's up to date with Raspberry OS Bookworm.
Additionally this time round the book now also allows you to build the code content on the PC via GLFW using an OpenGLES3.1 display that PC's can handle. This expands the usability of the book to people who don't have Pi's to play with (though really they should
)
I don't know the exact release date of the new edition, but its in the production phase now and should be on the shelves in a few months. The support website at www.scratchpadgames.net is undergoing a total revamp to provide updated code (for the 1st edition also) and the new edition. I'll let you know when the website is finished and when the book is realeased.
If you have questions or need an academic review sample I can put you in touch with the publisher CRC Press,
