https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-network ... ory/ue306/ implies it is an AX88179 chipset. That has definitely worked with Raspberry Pi OS, however OpenWRT may use their own kernel configuration that doesn't include the relevant module. "modinfo ax88179_178a" would tell you if it was included.
