A few questions:Hello, how come when I plug the AC adapter into the outlet, the Pi5 automatically turns on rather than remaining turned off until I press the power button? Is this normal? How can I make it remaining off until the power button is pressed?
Is your "AC outlet" switched or unswitched? (Switched, normally off, is better because multiple "momentary" connections (power on/off) can occur when just plugging in to the AC.)
Assuming you're using a HDMI display (you don't tell us) likewise is that on before power is applied elsewhere?
Do you plug in the P5's USB 'C' power connector before applying power elsewhere?
Finally what P5 power supply are you using? (ie. an official P5 PSU or some other similar "phone charger"?
TBH, IIRC the power button is only expected/intended to be used to turn the P5 back on after a "software" shutdown w/o physical disconnection of the PSU** (eg. by turning it off at the AC mains, unplugging it etc.).
Trev.
** Edit: ie .similar behaviour to a P400's Fn/F10 key combo. behaviour
