Well, here's my attempt at the Raspberry Pi official "AWB-O-Matic" image capture tool.
Hopefully it's reasonably self-explanatory, though I'm starting to wonder whether it's really that much easier than entering a couple of terminal commands! You just run the app on your Pi, and it should also run over ssh which should make it a bit easier to get your Pi into some more varied locations.
I think it mostly works (I was slightly losing the will to live with all that panny/zoomy stuff), but if anyone out there feels like test driving it... thanks!!
