I've cut a small section from it, enough to wrap about an 85mm frosted acrylic disc.
For the DAC I think this is going to be more than good enough.

That'll give me access for 4096 brightness levels, and since the reality is that I've likely to be using values in the lower 1000, levels anyway, the loosing some of the brightest due to voltage drop shouldn't be a problem.
