current stress test using Stressberry result to highest of 55.4 degrees with room temperature at 22 degrees. Without overclocking, the fan won't even turn on.

Overclocking it to 3.0Ghz, we get maximum of 66.3 degree celcius at 22 degrees room temp.

oh wow, so without overclocking you could likely never hear the fan in a cooler country like the UK or in climate controlled conditions? That's awesome, I'd be tempted to remove it manually at that point.

Follow up question, what battery size and battery life are you aiming for here please? At idle a CM5 uses something like 2-3 watts IRC. Ignoring all the other drains on the battery such as the screen, speakers, leds, fans and so on - that could easily be a 10 hour battery life for a 30-40Wh battery if idling. I think the CM5 peaks at 10 watts or so under load so that would still be 4 hours or so (again, ignoring all the other battery drains).
