Based on th discussion here viewtopic.php?p=2194239&hilit=Rise+time#p2194234 the critical window for the PMIC is the rise from ~3.5V to 4.1V (PMIC power-on reset threshold to UVLO threshold). I have a power supply that needs 25ms to go from 0 to >4.1V --> my Pi will not boot from that because the rise is too slow --> 1sec will not work for sure.
So what is your rise time (set cursor to the window 3.5 to 4.1)?
