Since they say it is guaranteed that it will not work with a digital servo, I think it is good to refrain from connecting it with a digital servo. Any type of manhandling may damage the HAT itself. Still, if you wanna try at your own risk, try with a separate power supply. DO NOT power up the servo directly from the HAT.
