Sorry, don't get what you're doing from your posting!
J8 is the GPIO40 header. You can use it to supply 5V to the board and your Pi will boot if the rise time of your power supply is sufficient.
If 5V is rising to slow you may have to push the power button.
Please explain hiw this is related to USB-C?
Take not that your Pi will assume 3A max current until you told him something else via EEPROM config.
There are so many post on powering Pi5 here -> search the forum for what to do.
