With some AI tooling, one can generate a website, or even easier some text and not check it. So hallucination, AI makes op something. Or the CM5 is not the one from RPL, there are more modules called CM5 and specs/files might be there to get attention of RPi community. Giada pops up as a fashion company here on my computer, but likely that is another company then the tech one.
A generic media player can easily contain some other SoC, most people won't notice. Not unusual that various media players are sold below cost price as the intention is to benefit from the data of the buyer/user with the help of the pre-installed firmware/software. Knowing this, tech people will still buy those, but not to use as media player, but to hack their own Linux onto it.
Note that I haven't clicked on the URLs; But something is clearly wrong here.If you want to know, try to buy 1 piece and put it through X-ray or so.
Interesting points about AI-generated content and misleading specs. It does seem like there’s some confusion around the CM5 and its origins. As for media players, it’s true that many are subsidized for data collection. Have you come across any specific cases where this has been a major issue?
