Are you sure? Have a quick read here viewtopic.php?t=78034 and then try a ground loop isolator. Your ground is looping through the amp, the pi and the buck, any of which could cause the noise. When you power the pi from another power source it breaks that loop.I dont think the noise is coming from the LM2596 because the noise is dependant on the PI's CPU. Its like i can hear every instuction being executed.
