Sorry, your original post didn't show up until I posted the other one(I forgot to reload the page). What I'm trying to do is just duplicate the HDMI output of my pi (which is running retro pie) onto my screen. I'm pretty new to pi's and I am trying to make a transition from Arduino to pis and testing their capabilities over each other. So what I'm trying to make here is a handheld that runs retropie I've been having a ton of difficultly with the screen in particular because even with Arduino I have little to no experience with interfacing screens.
So the real takeaway for what I'm asking is if you could help me understand what I'm doing or give me a link to someone that has either already does this or something very similar.
