I was wondering if the community could assist me with troubleshooting my Pi 5 not playing nice with an Amazon Fire TV (TCL 55Q650F). The TV will only operate at 1080 with the Pi attached, but its happy to display 4K with other devices like a laptop. I have other Pi 5's with an identical configuration deployed to other 4K TVs with no issues. I even took the Pi originally attached to the TCL TV and tested it with an LG . . . no issues.
Are there any adjustments I can make on the Pi to make it play nice with a wider range of displays?
What I have tried so far that hasn't worked:
- Enabled EDID with disable_fw_kms_setup=0 in /boot/config.txt
- Add video=HDMI-A-1:3840x2160 to the end of /boot/cmdline.txt to get around auto detection.
- hdmi_safe=1
