Both !As others have said, the most likely cause of the problem is an unstable power supply. It's probably not a case of overloading - more likely the power supply goes overvoltage either due to instability with the short pulses of current being drawn by the servos, or possibly even the servos themselves feeding current back into the power supply as they 'brake' to stop at the commanded position.
