Thanks for your efforts to help and apologies for wasting your time. If it's any comfort I wasted a whole lot more of my own. And thanks for whatever it was which planted the seed which led to identifying the issue.
It's back to "Could NOT find LIBUSB (missing: LIBUSB_LIBRARIES LIBUSB_INCLUDE_DIR)" so I guess I'm back to reading my notes as to how I resolved that last time. But it is building.
