I have just loaded a clean version of rpios onto a rpi5 with a 2TB nvme card. The os is fully updated. Previously i was was running rpios on a 500 GB nvme card on the rpi5, the webcam worked well on this.
My problem is that my webcam is not being seen in either Chromium browser or Firefox browser. The webcam works in non browser applications such as Cheese. I have set the permissions in Chromium to ask for for permission when required.
My main usage is with Zoom. I have got the microphone working. But the camera just refuses to be seen.
I have tried on browser based webcam test sites such as Webcam Test and I have the same problem. Browser based usage of the webcam does not work.
my webcam is a little old but the performance suits me ok. It s a Creative Technology, Ltd VF0610 Live! Cam Socialize HD.
Can anyone suggest a solution or work around?
