The PiHut spacer kit page says what they sent can be either 4-40 or M3 thread screws and nuts.
If you want to skip measuring, just buy matching nuts when you buy the longer screws.
Once you know whether you want 4-40 or M3 thread, then you should should be available find longer screws from most hardware providers.
I'm in the USA so I can usually find a variety of 4-40 screw lengths at local hardware/home improvement stores for under $2US and avoid tripling the cost with shipping charges.
