I haven't seen any sort of specification or use case for what you actually need or do. Do you require 'high speed', or removable '(USB/SD-card)', is it networked or not.May be the 'proper' choice is either SD High Endurance designed for security camera 24/7 writing and NVMe which is designed as hard disk replacement as OS drive.
RPi has recently launch own brand for these two configurations.
Maybe your computer board is too fast for what you need and you get into the problem that you generate high data traffic in short bursts, so things get hot.
A smart security camera 24/7 has almost no local storage but streams/stores to some server. Unless the security camera is somewhere in the middle of no-where with no power grid/cord. Then maybe store things locally. But then the smart criminal will just take/steal the whole security camera.
