Disappointing. Based on the info in your other post here's something that may be worth a try.sandyol
Just to let you know i did try your suggestion this afternoon on my 6mm connected to my GS camera and I failed to get any reasonable focus out of the lens.....
I will try again tomorrow...
Fit the 16mm lens (with 5mm spacer ring) to the GS camera module.
Rotate the lens to its infinity FAR focus setting and aperture to fully open, and lock in position. Then arrange for a distant scene with some detail (trees / houses) to be in the middle of the cameras FoV.
Add --info-text "%focus" to the end of the rpicam-hello preview command to get a numerical measure of 'best focus'.
Release the BFAR pinch screw and adjust the BFAR - without rotating the lens focus setting - and find the optimum visual and numerical focus position.
Lock the BFAR in this position and replace the lens with the 6mm version.
