  • Have you updated the PI Imager?
  • Can you access the SD card independant of the PI Imager? I ask because in the past I've had problems with SD adapters.
  • Which image are you trying to download?
  • What was the last screen displayed that gave you the idea that a download and SD Creation had started
1. I was using a recent Pi OS image downloaded onto a separate SD card. It was a few hours old.

2. I didn't check to see if I could access the card. However, the Pi Imager found the card and asked if I wanted to write the image to it.

3. I was trying to download the latest 64 bit OS for my Pi 5.

4. The last screen that led me to think the image was going to download was of the Raspberry Pi Imager itself. The progress gauge remained stuck on 0% for over an hour. I aborted the download and checked my internet access on speedtest.net and found I could download/upload at ~700MBPS. The bottleneck wasn't at my end.

UPDATE: Downloads from raspberrypi.com started working a few hours later. I was able to download the image and verify it in about 10 minutes altogether. Much better!

Thanks for jumping in!
