I found this link talking about the same error.

when overlays/uart0-pi5.dtbo is added, both uart0-pi5.dtbo and overlays/uart0-pi5.dtbo are added. But all other overlays are added like this.
Follow the solution in the link, change two tabs to 8 spaces in front of "overlays/uart?-pi5.dtbo", then it works fine now.
