Yep, sorry, found it seconds after I posted. All good. I've just become a little bit sensitive to how bloated a lot of stuff has become and sometimes assume the worst without a second look.It is because you're trying to install "rpicam-apps" which includes support for a preview window in the desktop environment. "rpicam-apps-lite" has the same utilities but without the DE support so won't pull in all of those packages. It is what is installed for Raspberry Pi OS Lite.
