This eeprom version improves 8GB Pi5 memory performance, but 4GB Pi5 still faster. Rather than polute this thread I've posted the results here.The latest firmware for BCM2712-based devices that is available via apt is the one you have installed. If you want to install the 2024-08-30 image now, before it appears in apt, you can just grab it from the github repo and manually install it using rpi-eeprom-update -f.
