I just realized that KMS with disable_fw_kms_setup=0 also sets the command line option "video=HDMI-A-1:720x576M@50D" which marks the mode as "User defined" in the connector mode list. Again while "vcdbg log msg" seems to indicate it didn't find any EDID. Where does that mode come from?
