Networking and servers • Re: Important networking tools no longer included in standard bookworm image

Hello all,

so I just installed bookworm 64 bit headless on a 3b+ and was going through my usual install and setup routines and boy was I shocked when I hit host apple.com and the terminal was like nope, don't know the command host.
Anyone want to let me know what meta package includes host and all the other fun networking troubleshooting commands I and tons of other people are going to want to use? Spent the requisite hour searching the web and this post is the only one I found that even mentions the host command is missing.
Help me forum folk, you're my only hope.

Code:

sudo apt install bind9-host
To know what package(s) contains a particular module, use

Code:

sudo apt search " dig "
