Could you provide us with some more information about your system. As it is it's unlikely we'll be able to help and anyone who claims otherwise is almost certainly guessing.
Start with the following (listed in no particular order):
- Which Pi model yuo are using.
- If using a 4B or Pi5 how much RAM it has.
- The output from
Code:
head -1 /etc/os-release - If you know, whether you are using X11 or Wayland for the desktop
- The contents of your .desktop file
- Where said file is located
- Whether it works as expected if you view the .desktop file in the file manager and double click it.
- The command you are using to run freerdp manually.
- How/where you are entering that command.
